Ukrainian expert urges citizens to distinguish between illegal and official operators

The head of Ukrainian Gambling Council Anton Kuchukhidze in his next speech touched an important issue for the gambling market in Ukraine – the work of illegal and legal operators of gambling entertainment. Thus, the expert has repeatedly stated the responsibility for the development of local gambling industry on the part of government and business. However, in his opinion, citizens should also have the necessary set of knowledge to distinguish between official and illegal gambling brands, the functionary believes.

Anton Kuchukhidze pointed out that gambling should only be treated as a distraction from everyday life and should only bring positive emotions and impressions.

“Remember: The aim of illegal companies is to make money out of you as much as possible. They will not aim to provide positive emotions. Legitimate operators, on the other hand, are always determined to provide a service that their customers are willing to pay for. It should be a high quality product that is worth its money,” said the expert.

Another criterion of distinction is the behavior of brands toward their potential users. “SMS with invitations to visit a casino, arcade or online platform is a typical marketing tool of illegal operators. Officials with a regulator’s license will not attract an audience in this way. They value their name,” Kuchukhidze said.

The head of the All-Ukrainian Gambling Council noted that finding the addresses of legal gambling companies that operate in Ukraine is simple enough. To do this, go to the site of the Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission (GRAIL), where the register of all operators with an official license.

Earlier Anton Kuchuhidze openly stated that illegal casinos are one of the main threats to the development of gambling business in Ukraine.
