Ukraine received UAH 72 million for the first two land-based casino licenses

The Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (GRAIL) has officially confirmed the payment of the first two land-based casino licenses. According to the report of the regulator, the company Primum Ltd. and Nebula Games Ltd. each paid UAH 36 million to the state budget of the country for the respective permits.
The receipt of UAH 72 million from operators of gambling business in Ukraine was also recorded by the State Treasury. It is reported that from March 24, 2021 these owners of licenses can begin organizing a casino.
It is important to recall that the company “Nebula Games” got the right to place their gambling establishment in western Ukraine – in the city of Lviv. Here on the territory of a large hotel complex of the luxury Grand Hotel Lviv there will be a large casino with slot-machine halls. The total area of the institution will be about 500 square meters.
Nebula Games LLC is managed by a large fund of JSC Successful. He is also the owner of the operator Fjorst Element LLC, which won the right to launch one of the first legal online casinos in the Ukrainian jurisdiction. The organization has already received a corresponding license from the KRAIL.
The second manager of the land-based casino is the company Primum Ltd. It will deploy its activity in Odessa. The main location for the opening of land-based gambling establishment in the city will be the 21-storey hotel Gagarinn. KRAIL gave the licensee the right to organize casino and slot machines halls in the area of 4200 square meters (on the first and the seventh floors of the building). It is also supposed to open sports betting points.
Earlier, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine launched the process of adopting a gambling equipment certification scheme. Soon the corresponding register will appear on the official website of the Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission.
