Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone has faced serious consequences from the spread of coronavirus. Dmitry Anfinogenov, the director of the territory, told about it. According to his information, the pandemic coronavirus infection had a negative impact on the work of local gambling establishments.
So, according to the information provided, in 2020 the volume of attendance of the gambling zone was 23% less if we compare the figure with the data for 2019. At the same time, local casinos received guests from 14 countries.
In addition, tourists from India and Israel, due to limited air links with the territory of Russia began to come to the resort region and local casinos three times less often than the year before.
The situation with the spread of COVID-19 also affected Sochi. Thus, in 2019, the main resort pearl of the southern part of Russia was visited by 6,560,325 tourists. Of this number, 2,164,907 people somehow spent time in IZ. But in 2020, these figures dropped slightly: Sochi received 5,586,354 guests, of whom 2,011,087 went to the casino resort.
Earlier, the company managing the casino “Krasnaya Polyana” LLC “Domein” disclosed the financial results of the local gambling business by the end of 2020. The presented statistics showed historical volumes of losses, which only for the first three quarters reached the mark of a record 681.5 million rubles.
Only once, in 2018, the operator recorded “minus” in its financial statements. Then the amount of under-received money reached the mark of 44 million rubles. At the same time, the very next year Domaine LLC went “plus” by 40 million in Russian currency.
In 2020, local gambling entertainment facilities earned 1.5 billion rubles, which is 4.5 billion less than the figure recorded in 2019. Remarkably, however, this amount of revenue was the largest in the history of Domaine LLC.
