The third land-based casino in Ukraine is planned to open in Poltava

The Gambling and Lottery Regulation Commission of Ukraine (GRAIL) decided to issue a permit to Campus Plus LLC to locate a casino on the territory of the 4-star Premier Hotel Palazzo in Poltava. The relevant document is posted on the official website of the regulator.
According to the act, the Poltava casino will be located on the ground and first floors of the hotel complex. For the re-equipment KRAIL gave the area of 711.1 square meters. It is noteworthy, but LLC “Campus Plus” will be actively engaged only in placement of gambling facility. Its organization will fall on the shoulders of another company, whose name has not yet been disclosed.
The Ukrainian media in one voice claim that Poltava will become the third city in the country where land-based casinos will be opened after the official legalization of gambling. Elena Korshun, owner and director of Campus Plus, commented on this information.
In an interview with Poltava journalists, she stated: “Commercial secrecy does not allow me to name the organizer of the casino. But it is a well-known and very influential firm, whose founders are Ukrainian businessmen. I can confirm that the process of hiring and training of staff has already started. The opening date of the discussed gambling establishment is scheduled for June-July this year.”
Korshun did not ignore the financial side of the promising project: “The casino has to send to the budget for the appropriate license for five years, 180 million hryvnia. Exactly half of this amount will go to the city treasury, because the hotel is registered in Poltava and pays taxes here. This year the owners of the object will pay the city 18 million hryvnias.”
It should be noted that the first two casinos in Ukraine will soon start receiving visitors in Odessa and Lviv. Their organizers, the companies “Nebula Games” and “Primum” have already paid their annual license (36 million hryvnia each).
