The opening of the Shangri-La casino was announced in the capital of Ukraine

The Unified Gambling Regulator of Ukraine (KRAIL) officially announced its intention to issue a gambling permit for the five-star Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv. The corresponding decree is available on the site of the Commission. It is planned to open a casino Shangri-La on the territory of this object.

Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv became the first “luxury” hotel in the Ukrainian capital, which was given a legal right to open a gambling establishment on its territory. It is reported that the organizers will be able to build a large casino with rooms for VIP-guests, a roomy slot-machine hall and a sports betting room on an area of 1,562.1 square meters.

Ukrainian media claim that shareholders of Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv already have an agreement with foreign investors to open the first elite Shangri-La casino in Kyiv, owned by Storm International. At the same time, it has not yet received approval to enter the Ukrainian jurisdiction from KRAIL, so there is no official confirmation of this information.

It is important to note that the five-star Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv is one of the most prestigious in the capital of Ukraine. It started its work in 2010. Here regularly stay influential politicians and businessmen, foreign guests. According to insiders, the owner of this object is entrepreneur Leonid Yurushev.

Earlier it became known that the Kiev hotels “Rus” and “Lybid” also received the right to open gambling establishments on their territory.

At the current moment the Ukrainian Gambling Business Regulator issued permits for organization of casinos and other gambling objects to 12 Ukrainian hotel complexes. Five of them are in Kiev, two in Lviv and one in Kharkiv, Vinnitsa, Rivne and Bila Tserkva.
