The Head of the Republic of Crimea announced the official launch of the construction of a gambling zone “Golden Coast”.

In 2022 a modern gambling zone (GC) will begin to be built on the southern coast of the Crimean peninsula. This information was confirmed in an interview by the head of the RK Sergey Aksenov.

The decision to locate gambling facilities at the Crimean resort, which is popular with tourists from all over the world, was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the summer of 2014. Four years later, the local authorities for the implementation of this initiative chose the most suitable location near the village of Katsiveli. In the summer of 2019, the official ratification received a document implying the creation on an area of 146.8 thousand square meters on the southern coast of the peninsula IZ “Gold Coast”.

In December of the same year, the developer was approved – LLC “Managing company of infrastructure projects” (UKIP). According to the plan, the construction of the zone would cost at least 3 billion rubles. The initial phase of work was then scheduled for 2020, but the start was postponed several times for various reasons.

As explained by Sergey Aksenov, the delays are mostly due to bureaucratic issues on the registration of all permits and project documentation. He said that the completion of the Gaming Zone “Gold Coast” is scheduled for the end of 2023.

“Already in 2022 the operator responsible for the construction will start fulfilling its obligations. The initial task is to dismantle the unfinished objects located on the site. Now the stage of coordinating the design papers is coming to an end. According to our data, at the end of 2023, the Crimean gambling zone will be fully ready for launch, “- admitted Sergey Aksenov.

IZ of the Republic of Crimea will be located on the territory of the once popular health resort “Fortuna”. According to preliminary estimates, the institutions of the zone will annually generate about 25 billion rubles to the regional budget in the form of tax deductions.
