Peter & Sons and Yggdrasil sign exclusive contract

Renowned slot development studio Peter & Sons has signed a contract with Yggdrasil to use the popular Gigablox™ mechanics to improve the production of game products. Through Yggdrasil’s Game Engagement Mechanics (GEM) offering, the developer will incorporate efficient mechanics into its products. The first joint brainchild is expected to be unveiled before the end of this year.

It is noted that Gigablox™ has already been used in several Yggdrasil branded games, including top-of-the-line Lucky Neko and Hades. The mechanics structure allows the dynamic reels to create giant blocks of six columns and six lines. According to reports, such a feature provides a truly innovative gaming experience.

In addition to Peter & Sons, three other studios – Reflex Gaming, DreamTech Gaming and Bang Bang Games – have previously partnered with the developer to use patented Gigablox™, MultiMAX™ and Splitz™ technologies.

They are being used to increase player engagement and retention. The company’s press office said that Yggdrasil will package and commercialize additional mechanical products for its partners throughout 2021.

Stuart McCarthy, head of partner programs at Yggdrasil, said: “We are thrilled with the interest in our offering. It’s a testament to the popularity of the mechanics among players around the world. By incorporating Gigablox™ into future projects, Peter & Sons will be able to take their development to the next level. We look forward to seeing the results.”

Peter & Sons Business Development Manager Yann Bautista added: “We are very excited to license Yggdrasil’s popular Gigablox™ mechanical solution to create new and exciting games that will diversify our growing portfolio. We’re always looking for new ways to engage and surprise customers, and using Yggdrasil’s proven mechanics lays a solid foundation for creating compelling content.”
