Online casino operator VBet announces its entry to the Ukrainian gambling market

BetConstruct VBet, an online casino and sports betting brand, has received approval from the Ukrainian Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission to issue a local gaming license. The company called the event “a great honor and privilege.”

The operator said that immediately after the legalization of gambling business in Ukraine last August, President Vladimir Zelensky launched the process of forming and applying for permission to operate in this jurisdiction. The group’s efforts led to VBet becoming the first licensed online poker operator in the country.

VBet says its entry into the regulated Ukrainian market is an “important strategic step” towards expanding its presence in a number of globally regulated markets. In Ukraine, VBet will operate under the .ua domain.

On July 14, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine legalized gambling in the country, which was considered a “historic event” by the top leadership. This type of activity had been prohibited by law for almost ten years (since 2009).
