Krasnaya Polyana” gambling zone postponed the World Poker Summit

Dmitry Afinogenov, the director of the gambling zone “Krasnaya Polyana” announced the postponement of the World Poker Summit for the next year. The reason was the spread of coronavirus Covid-19 in Asia and Europe. The organizers said that the event will be held in May 2021.
“WPS is being moved to 2021. This is, first of all, a question of the safety of our guests. Secondly, the recognition of the Krasnaya Polyana gaming zone by the global gambling community. After all, only a month has passed since we announced the summit, during which we have received dozens of applications for participation from companies from all over the world,” Afinogenov said.
The event is now scheduled for May 19-31, 2021. The organizers stressed that this will not only be safer for visitors, but will also facilitate the entry of foreign nationals. The representatives of the gambling zone noted that since January 2021, Russia will introduce a one-time visa for foreigners. It is assumed that they will be issued for a short period of up to 16 days.
World Poker Summit is a major poker festival. The event was to be held from May 17 to 30 in the gaming zone “Krasnaya Polyana”. At the time of the announcement the organizers announced a record prize fund of the tournament in the amount of 250 million rubles.
