In 2023, Ukraine will have a unique resort city with a casino

In 2023, the first city-resort with a casino will appear in Ukraine. The project is called Dunaya Resort Ukraine. The information about its implementation was announced by the author of the initiative Fazil Askerov.

According to him, “Dunaya” is planned to implement in Tatarbunarskogo district of Odessa region. The main infrastructure facilities will spread out on a spit between the lake Sasyk and the Black Sea Gulf. The total construction area will be about 500 hectares.

According to the plan, the untouched territory will be reconstructed for the construction of 95 hotel complexes. Their hotel fund will allow receiving from 5 to 6 million tourists annually with a single accommodation of 20,000 visitors.

“We face an incredibly ambitious task – to open five project hotels in the Odessa region in 2023. It is necessary to implement the idea by May. In the future the plan is to launch five or six objects a year. As a result, we will not only create a unique infrastructure for the entire country, but also about 25,000 new jobs. At the same time, related businesses will be able to hire a total of 100,000 people. This is a very ambitious task that we need to accomplish,” Askerov noted.

According to the source, the concept was developed on the basis of already existing experience in similar projects in other countries, including the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and South Korea.

“The already existing experience was studied, we do not want to make a mistake. Batumi was once allowed to place gambling establishments within the borders of the city because of the lack of a clear strategy. Then there were serious problems and disagreements. Somewhere they missed the need to preserve the flora and fauna of the adjacent territories, which is also unacceptable. All these issues are on our radar. We want to create not just a gambling zone, but a resort town with opportunities to develop the gambling industry,” Fazil Askerov added.

He also noted that 30 hotel companies have already expressed their interest in the Dunaya project.

Recall that the Tigre de Cristal casino was recognized as the best gambling establishment in Russia in 2021.
