Evolution Gaming on the eve of a merger with NetEnt changed its name

Evolution Gaming has rebranded ahead of its merger with leading global online slots developer NetEnt. The value of this deal is estimated at £1.6 billion.

The official name of the Stockholm-based provider will now be Evolution. The press office said that the rebranding decision was made in order to “more accurately represent the company’s activities.” The update will take effect immediately on all Evolution digital platforms, as well as in official messages, statements and documents.

In addition, the office of the Swedish manufacturer noted that the new name reflects the different vectors of work, because the brand offers not only gaming products, but also deals with software development, focusing a lot on technological innovation.

The board of directors will propose to change the name of the company’s legal entity at the annual general meeting of shareholders on April 16, 2021.
