Caesars Rewards member hits a progressive jackpot of nearly $1.4 million
The American capital of gambling once again proved its high status when a visitor to the prestigious Harrah’s Hotel and Casino hit the Caesars Rewards progressive jackpot. He earned his unbelievably big win at the Face Up Pai Gow poker table. The winning check totaled more than $1.3 million.
According to the operator’s press release, the guest from Vancouver named Quoclong Pham has visited Harrah’s Casino many times before, as he is a professional poker player and regularly flies to prestigious tournaments around the country. He is also listed as a member of the massive Caesars Rewards loyalty program and has a “platinum level.”
He is known to have made his visit to Las Vegas deliberately to enjoy his vacation time playing his favorite poker game. Pham sat down at the Face Up Pai Gow table and a few minutes later found himself bewildered by what had happened. After he opened his “hand,” the reason for Kwolong’s state of mind became clear. It turned out that he had managed to collect a seven-card straight flush with a joker that made him a millionaire. The final winnings amounted to $1,393,273.
Literally immediately afterwards, he commented emotionally on the outcome, “The situation is just surreal. Today I don’t fully understand what happened. But I’ll understand everything tomorrow, when this sum comes to my account. Before I never won even close to this sum in my life, although I go to tournaments for a long time. I want to save my money for future investments. I hope to have more moments of joy like this in my life.”
Earlier we told about another poker enthusiast, Pai Gow, who at The Orleans Hotel Casino also racked up a straight flush with a seven-card joker and won $119,000. However, he got his win with the help of a bonus bet.
Recall, a Texas resident won more than $650,000 at the Buffalo Grand slot machine.
