Bally’s announced plans to build a $1.6 billion state-of-the-art casino resort in Chicago

American gambling and hospitality giant Bally’s has announced its project to build a state-of-the-art casino resort Bally’s Chicago. The cost of the conceived project is estimated at $1.6 billion.
The company is now considering several large sites capable of accommodating this facility. Its erection will consist of two phases. The first is estimated to be about $1 billion. It will include a roomy casino with a slot machine room for 2,700 machines and 95 table games, a 100-room luxury hotel, a restaurant, an outdoor music venue and a recreational area with green space.
Phase two will expand Bally’s Chicago with an additional $600 million investment. With this money, the brand intends to add 4,000 more slots and other entertainment to the casino, build a 400-room hotel tower with a rooftop pool and bar, a 3,000-seat entertainment center and 6,000 square feet of exhibition space.
Bally’s Chairman Soo Kim commented on the company’s grand vision, “Chicago is a dynamic world-class city. We are committed to investing $1.6 billion to create Bally’s Chicago as our flagship and the only property in its class in the market. The facility will be owned and operated by Chicagoans with an emphasis on minority and women investors, contractors, suppliers, consultants and employees. It will bring in tax revenue, create well-paying jobs and attract international investment.”
The owners of the casino resort also want to create their own team of managers and employees to keep Bally’s Chicago alive. In doing so, the entire staff, consisting of 45% women, 45% minorities, 5% veterans, and 5% people with disabilities, should “reflect the diversity of the city.”
Recall that the Gauselmann Group announced the launch of a third casino on TUI Cruises’ flagship ship.
