An American college has developed a program to train croupiers

Grand Rapids College of Michigan has announced the opening of its Blackjack Dealer Academy. Training for the profession will be conducted by instructors of the educational institution together with representatives of the American casino Gun Lake. A presentation of the new course was held at the college on Sept. 18.
Students who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate and a guaranteed right to employment as a croupier. The introduction of the new major at Grand Rapids College was spearheaded by Gun Lake Casino management.
“We have partnered with the college to provide even more job training opportunities for local residents. The table game dealer profession is critical to the gambling industry,” said Gun Lake CEO Jose Flores.
To enroll in the course, a student must be 21 or older and have a high school diploma. After graduation, a graduate can expect to earn a salary of $18 to $21 an hour.
